48TH UAE NATIONAL DAY CEREMONY
Betty Productions created and delivered the official ceremony for the 48th UAE National Day at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The show celebrated some well known traditional stories from the region in a beautiful event. Scroll down for more details.
Our loudspeaker system consisted of three parts; a distributed ground stacked system, a delay ring and a distributed system for the VVIP tribune.
The distributed ground stacked system provided coverage of the lower bowl and consisted of 12 arrays of three K2 and four SB28 subwoofers for a total of 36 K2 and 48 SB28's. The delay ring consisted of 12 arrays of six L-Acoustics KARA for coverage of the upper bowl seating.
The distributed stereo loudspeaker system in the VVIP tribune consisted of 16 L-Acoustics X8 loudspeakers and six SYVA SUB's for the front row and 150 L-Acoustics 5XT loudspeakers for the remainder of the audience. Each 5XT was mounted on a small plinth and cabled in an alternating left / right configuration. The placement provided one 5XT between two VVIP guests.
Show Control Systems
We used a dual-redundant pair of Ovation systems by Merging Technologies operated by Steve Logan, probably the most experienced playback operator in the world. The system consists of a purpose-built Windows 10 computer running Ovation, the Horus audio interface delivering 128-channels via MADI, the Ovation keyboard and KVM per system.
