Loudspeaker system design & modelling
The loudspeaker system was designed by our team using L-Acoustics SOUNDVISION software. This clip shows a brief walk-through of the design we developed for Ennio's concert at the O2 in London.
Audio system details
The loudspeaker system consists of seven arrays of L-Acoustics KARA with 12 elements in each array for typical venues and 15 elements for larger venues like The O2 in London. The control system consists of a pair of DiGiCo SD7's for FOH and Monitors, a pair of L-Acoustics L-ISA Processors and Optocore signal transport. Fabio Venturi (pictured below) has mixed Morricone for many years and was very excited to provide an even better experience to the Maestro's audiences.
L-ISA control system
The L-ISA processors and controller were deployed in a dual-redundant configuration with a single controller and with Desk-Link to the FOH SD7. The processors were connected via MADI to the SD7 receiving a combination of direct-outs and groups. The objects were placed in the soundscape to exaggerate the placement of the orchestra onstage. The exaggerated placement was used to create a wider and more enveloping sound.
